Student Activities General Board
What is it?
The SAB General Board is a part of the Student Activities Board; the programming arm of SGA. The purpose of the General Board is to have an added perspective on what students want, as well as, fresh new ideas for new activities and events. The general board serves as a sounding board for student perspective, as well as, representatives of the student body as a whole. Each volunteer supports the Student Activities Executive Board by attending one, weekly committee meeting and one monthly General Board meeting.
A General Board Member is someone who…
- Sits on at least one of the seven SAB Committees
- Attends General Board meetings that will be scheduled once a month
- Participates in planning events, particularly Spring Fest
- Assists in at least one SAB marketing projects
A General Board Member has the opportunities to…
- Gain experience in event/program planning as well as marketing and promotions
- Make connections with people who work in the University
- Great reference and a terrific resume builder
- Experience teamwork and time management
- Leadership Training

Who is it for?
The SAB General Board is for those students who have a strong interest for event planning, and generally, like to have a good time!
