About Freshmen L.E.A.D
Freshman L.E.A.D. stands for Freshman Leadership Enrichment and Development. It is a crash course in leadership development sponsored by Student Government.
After participating in this program you will be able to:
- Apply practiced organizational leadership skills.
- Distinguish between different components of the Social Change Model.
- Identify your personal leadership philosophy and style.
- Identify the various stages of how groups develop
- List a network or peers through participation in bi-monthly meetings and small and large group activities.
- Create an action plan for your leadership growth and development through college.
- Select other leadership opportunities at UofL in which to participate.
There will be 50 students selected for the program. Those who are interested in applying will need to apply and interview to be accepted. Applications are available during the first few weeks of school, typically due September 1st. Once participants are
selected, they will be contacted in early September to interview. All applicants will be contacted whether they are accepted into the
program or not.
Who’s it for?
Freshman L.E.A.D. is for any student who is interested in further developing their leadership skills along side the future student
leaders of UofL!
