College/School Councils
What is it?
The University has 13 Colleges/Schools; eleven of these have their own student councils as part of SGA. Think of it as a federal – state relationship. Each of these councils is focused on issues that affect the constituents in their respective academic unit. They offer programs specific to their peers and advocate for college/school specific concerns.
Each of the councils has different ways for students to volunteers. Arts and Sciences have various elected positions as well as Associate members. The Speed School of Engineering has several positions available for students at any level in their educational path, and the College of Business appoints such positions as treasurer, secretary and more. No matter the college or school, if you want to get involved they certainly have a need and room for you to participate.
