About the Legislative
The legislative branch of SGA consists of the Student Senate and Student Councils. These groups are mostly made up of students elected to represent their respective colleges. The Student Senate's powers and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, passing resolutions, determining rules and procedures in accordance with the SGA Constitution, amending the Constitution, chartering student organizations, and appropriating money for programs and student groups.

Senate Meetings
The Student Senate meets twice a month to conduct official business, and students and the public are encouraged to come and participate (read rules for participating). To accomodate students who cannot sit in on meetings and to also, more generally, help students become more aware of what is going on in SGA, drafted, pending, and passed resolutions will be posted online for public access:
