Where you will learn…

Med-Peds residents spend the majority of their inpatient time at one of our three main teaching hospitals: University Hospital, VA Medial Center, and Kosair’s Children Hospital.

·         University Hospital – primary adult teaching hospital; 404 beds

·         VA Medical Center – service focused primarily on medicine, surgery, neurology, and psychiatry

·         Kosair Childrens Hospital – primary pediatric teaching facility; the only freestanding, full-service hospital “Just for Kids” in the state of Kentucky; 250 beds

What you will learn…

Where you will go…

Since the first residents graduated from the University of Louisville’s combined Med-Peds Residency program in 1990, 52 residents have successfully completed their training.  The vast majority (76%) has chosen to go into Med-Peds Primary Care private practice, but a growing number have chosen careers in subspecialties, emergency department, hospitalist, and academics.  Check out where some of our Recent Graduates have gone!
