McClain honored with research award
Craig J. McClain, M.D., a professor of gastroenterology in the School of Medicine, has been honored by the American Gastro-enterological Association Foundation with an Endowed Mentors Research Scholar Award. The award honors senior members of the association for their outstanding achievements in gastroenterology, including their exceptional contributions to the specialty through mentoring, by establishing an endowed Research Scholar Award in their names. Award recipients' trainees made contributions in tribute to their mentors, and those contributions were pooled to fund an endowment supporting the awards.
