Jones selected for fellowship in ELAM

Faye Jones, M.D., a professor of pediatrics and associate dean for minority and rural affairs at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, has been selected for the 2007-2008 fellowship class of the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program for women.

ELAM offers traditional M.B.A. training such as finance and organizational theory that is geared toward the academic health-center environment.
It also provides personal and professional development training in leadership, career advancement, communication and the use of new information and learning technologies. Fellows undertake a long-term action project that addresses an institutional need or goal.

Jones is a 1985 graduate of the UofL School of Medicine. She earned a master's in public health from UofL's School of Public Health and Information Sciences in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from UofL in 2006.

She is a practicing pediatrician with the UofL Department of Pediatrics.
