Our program's mission is to provide superb graduate medical education in the context of delivering superb patient care.
Our residents are challenged to obtain the knowledge, the clinical, communication, and leadership skills, and the professional demeanor that will enable them to become stand-outs and leaders in the field of Internal Medicine.
Our residents' strong grounding in general internal medicine prepares them for a variety of career paths, including hospitalist positions, academic and community practice, and further subspecialty training, and they both come to and leave this program with a commitment to justice in Medicine and to caring for traditionally under-served populations.
Our residents honor their obligations as teachers, learners, and role models, and are encouraged to maintain a lifelong interest in knowledge acquisition and in clinical and laboratory research.
