House Staff Council

The cab voucher system has been implemented to assist residents who feel too fatigued or sleepy to drive home can be issued a cab voucher to go home.  A second voucher will be included in order to return the next day.

The system is provided free to U of L residents and funding has been generously provided through Graduate Medical Education.

How Do I obtain a Cab Voucher?

Health Sciences Campus

• Contact the U of L Security Office at 502.852.6111
• Meet an officer at the security office on the first floor of the Abell Administration Building
• Show photo I.D. verifying you are a resident with the University of Louisville
• Print and sign your name, the service you are coming off of, and the time
• Call Yellow Cab to pick you up at 502.636.5111

VA Campus

• Contact the VA office at 502.287.6782
• Meet a VA representative at Admissions & Evaluation Unit, Rm. B-165
• Show photo I.D. verifying you are a resident with the University of Louisville
• Print and sign your name, the service you are coming off of, and the time
• Call Yellow Cab to pick you up at 502.636.5111

How Do I Use a Cab Voucher?

Once you have obtained the vouchers from the security office, you may call Yellow Cab service at 502.636.5111.  Hand the driver one voucher per trip.  Following each trip, please retain the completed pink copies from the drivers.  Place both pink slips in the provided self-addressed/postage paid envelope and mail back to the House Staff Council.
