Residents as Teachers
Residents as Teachers (RATs), first offered in 2007, is a full day workshop for residents in all specialties to teach, discuss, and practice the principles of adult education that will help them in teaching medical students, patients, other residents, and of course faculty and staff. Offered four times during the spring, this interactive curriculum includes small group work supported by clinicians and medical educators as facilitators and SPs to help residents practice new instructional skills.
Program Coordinators will help with PGY 1 residents scheduling. For advanced residents and faculty who are interested in participating as facilitators, please contact Karen.miller@louisville.edu or Jennifer.hall.1@louisville.edu
