Fellowship Program

The Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology Fellowship Training Program is a fully accredited, three-year training program that seeks to develop physicians to prepare them for a career in gastroenterology/ hepatology. We focus on ACGME core competencies to provide excellent patient care thorough medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism and systems-based practice. Faculty provide individual mentoring for continued growth of internal medicine skills, development of gastroenterological cognitive/procedural skills, and clinical/bench research in subspecialty areas of nutrition, IBD, hepatology, gastrointestinal motility, therapeutic endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography, and liver transplantation.
Visiting rotations for Internal Medicine residents from other programs are welcome.

The interview process for 2010 applicants has been completed. We only accept applications through ERAS at http://www.aamc.org/eras. Application deadline for 2011 applicants will be January 1, 2010. We will be notifying selected candidates for interview in mid January.
