Applicants for the Sports Medicine Fellowship should have a demonstrated interest in sports medicine (previous experience, event coverage during residency, elective rotations in sports medicine, etc.). 

Additional requirements include:

  • Satisfactory completion of accredited residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and be BE/BC in that field.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted Kentucky license
  • Eligibility for unrestricted DEA registration


The Fellowship participates in the National Residency Match Program:

  • Applicants should register and participate in that process.  For dates and registration see 
        www.nrmp.org.

  • Our deadline for receipt of your application is October 1st.
  • Applications will be reviewed during the month of September and interviews will occur by invitation starting in late October.
