Geriatric Medicine Fellowship
Welcome to the University of Louisville's Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program. We are excited to announce that Dr. James G. O'Brien will be the Interim Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program effective September 1, 2012. Dr. O'Brien has worked in the field of Geriatric Medicine for over 30 years. He is internationally known for his work on Elder Abuse and Neglect having presented at conferences in Ireland, Austria, Sweden, Scotland, Canada, India and Japan. He has been named a Best Doctor in Louisville Geriatrics by Louisville Magazine on four separate occasions and received the "Champion for the Aging" award from ElderServe, Inc. Dr. O'Brien has also been inducted as a Fellow in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2011. We are excited that he will be leading our fellowship during the upcoming year.
