Our physicians are at the forefront of the latest healthcare trends, practice evidence-based medicine, and focus on patient-centered care delivered through collaboration with providers in various subspecialties such as allergy, podiatry, sports and physical medicine and rehab. At all our University of Louisville Physicians Family and Geriatric Medicine offices, patients have access to a multidisciplinary care team including their physician or nurse practitioner, a social worker, mental behavioral health specialist, chronic care coordinator, nutritionist and certified diabetic educator. We emphasize quality health outcomes and customer service, and welcome new patients to join our growing practice.

Cardinal Station is located on the south end of the UofL Belknap Campus  Our providers accept most insurance plans, including Passport and Medicare.  We also provide care to those patients who are uninsured as well on a sliding fee scale.

The University of Louisville Family Medicine Cardinal Station site opened in August 2005.  In this 7000-square-foot Family Medicine setting both faculty and residents care for patients in a private practice setting.  The facility has a procedure room, 15 exam rooms, X-ray, and on-site laboratory. The University of Louisville Sports Medicine Facility is conveniently located on the second floor of the building.

Family Medicine physicians offer comprehensive and continuous care to patients and families of all ages.  Available services include well-baby checks, immunizations, routine exams, obstetrics and gynecologic services, preventive medicine, minor surgery, and care of the older adult.  Family physicians provide health care for the whole family.  Examples include:  childhood illnesses, injuries and accidents, allergies, sports injuries, dermatological problems, medical problems of adults, joint and muscle problems, and emotional problems.  We continue to provide care of the hospitalized patient at University of Louisville Hospital, Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's Healthcare, Norton's Hospital downtown and Kosair Children's Hospital.  Sports Medicine faculty are available for patient appointments.

We are open Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.  Routine appointments can be scheduled by calling 502-852-2822.
