CASE 1
Police are summoned
to a domestic dispute in town. After arriving, they note that
the wife has been injured and summon an ambulance to transport
her to your ED. On physical exam, you note the lesion pictured.
It is located on her right anterolateral neck, and measures roughly
6cm x 3.5cm.
What type of
injury is this? Could this be self-inflicted?
