Curriculum

Students complete the first year of the medical school curriculum over the span of two years in combination with their core business courses, which are taught in the evenings and on some Saturdays.  All electives are taken within the MD program.

 

Please note that the following example is subject to change at the discretion of either program

Year 1

Summer:  Medical School Orientation

Fall (MD):  Gross Anatomy, Neurosciences

Fall (MBA): Professional Development Saturday, Strategic Analysis, Organization Behavior, Decision Analysis, Economics I

Spring (MD):  Human Physiology, Neurosciences

Spring (MBA):  Professional Development Saturday, Leadership, Tech Management, Managerial Accounting I, Economics II, FInancial Accounting, Finance I

Year 2

Summer (MBA):  Professional Development Saturday, Managerial Accounting II, Finance II, Operations Management, Marketing I

Fall (MD):  Microscopic Anatomy, Embryology, Introduction to Clinical Medicine 1 (ICM1), Leadership in Medicine

Fall (MBA): Professional Development Saturdays, Finance III, Marketing II, GLobal Business

Spring (MD):  Biochemistry, Introduction to Clinical Medicine 1 (ICM1)

Spring (MBA):  Professional Development Saturdays, Project Management, Strategic Management, Global Learning -- Trip

Year 3

Summer (MBA):  Professional Development Saturday, Capstone Project I, Capstone Project II

Fall/Spring (MD):  ICM2 (a&b), Mirobiology & Immunology, Pathology, Genetics, Pharmacology, Clinical Neurosciences.

Year 4

Summer (by June 15):  MD Step One Boards

Fall/Spring (MD):  Medical School Third Year

September-January (10 weeks) (MBA):  Career Exploration in Healthcare Leadership

Year 5

Fall/Spring (MD):  Medical School Fourth Year

Fall/Spring (MBA):  Business of Medicine Elective (2 weeks), Independent Business of Medicine Project (2 weeks)
