Tseng part of UK EPA Grant

Dr. Michael Tseng will be a co-investigator on a $2 million grant awarded to the University of Kentucky to investigate how the sizes and shapes of nanoparticles affect their ability to enter the brain.

This award is the largest single EPA Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant for the study of nanotechnology.  Tseng's work in imaging nanoparticles in tissue is instrumental to the grant's goal of understanding whether nanoparticles can cross the blood-brain barrier and, if so, what levels of particles are safe.
