Congratulations to Dr. Mariusz Ratajczak, director of the Brown Cancer Center's Stem Cell Biology Program, who has been elected a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.  The President of the Republic of Poland confirmed his election on July 25th.

Dr. Ratajzcak has previously received the Polish Academy of Sciences' award for Medicine, commonly known as Poland's Nobel Prize, in recognition of his pioneering discover of VSELs (very small embryonic-like stem cells).
