Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplantation Fellowship Program

The University of Louisville’s Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is proud to offer a 1 year fellowship opportunity in Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiac Transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support.

The ideal candidates are those interested in a superb training in the nation’s premier center for mechanical circulatory support and end stage therapy for heart failure. Our program performs over 70 LVADS annually and 18-20 transplants per year and offers a comprehensive service for the treatment of patients with advanced heart failure. We have extensive experience in myocardial recovery and translational research.

Our program will provide the foundation that is essential towards obtaining certification in heart failure/cardiac transplantation, once attainment becomes available from the ABIM. Our fellowship is geared towards candidates who have completed cardiovascular fellowship training and are committed to a career in heart failure/transplantation medicine, only those that have completed a cardiology fellowship program will be eligible to apply.
