Maia Green, a PhD student co-mentored
by Drs Knudson and Prough received the
Wilson Presentation Award, from the
Teratology Society, an Eli Lily Women and
Minorities Travel Award and a Teratology
Society Student Travel Award.
Sarah Andres and Traci Kruer, PhD students in Dr Wittliff’s lab attended the Clinical Ligand Assay Society meeting last May in Puerto Rico. Traci received the Grafton Chase Promising Young Scientist Award, and Sarah won the award for best abstract.
Krista Riggs (Klinge lab) won the Women in Endocrinology Abstract Award in recognition of the abstract she submitted to the 2007 Endocrine Society Annual Meeting that was held in Toronto.
Joe Moore, a PhD student in Dr. Steve Ellis’ lab, presented his work at the 2008 Southeast Regional Yeast meetings and won the first place award for graduate student presentations.
