Kosair Children’s Hospital
This 235-bed hospital is the only comprehensive children's hospital and pediatric trauma center in the state of Kentucky . It functions as the main teaching hospital for the U of L's Department of Pediatrics. The faculty manage and staff the Audiology service at the hospital and provide over 1700 patient visits per year. Children referred to the Audiology Service at Kosair receive state-of-the-art audiologic evaluations including comprehensive behavioral audiologic evaluation, evaluation of middle ear function, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Auditory Steady-State Response (ASSR) testing. The faculty at Kosair have extensive experience in the evaluation of infants and children, and obtain current knowledge via continuing education and interaction with other health disciplines and early intervention providers.
