Upcoming Events Open to the Public

[Graduates of the 2015-16 LGBT Health Certificate Program with the Deans of Nursing, Dentistry and Medicine]

  • LGBT Health Certificate
    The LGBT Center is proud to offer an annual series of cutting-edge trainings for students, faculty, and staff in medicine, dentistry, public health, and nursing at UofL. These sessions are also open to community providers and the public. Participants completing at least 5 hours of training will earn a Certificate in LGBT Health. To date, over 200 students, faculty, staff and community members have completed this program and hundreds of others have attended at least one session.   • Safe Zone Training
    This training provides faculty and staff tools and resources they need to understand LGBT students and patients and to create a welcoming, affirming environment for all. A panel of LGBT people with diverse identities will share coming out experiences and experiences in health care, and attendees can ask questions to the panel.
    This event is open to any UofL employee.
  • [Six of the 500 student and staff attendees enjoy the 2016 HSC Pride Week Cookout]Pride Week at UofL
    Each year the University of Louisville hosts a week of education and celebration on the Health Sciences Center and Belknap campuses. Events typically include keynote speakers, student-run social events and a Cook-Out. Read more here.
