Setting Your Preffered Email Account (for students with an Exchange account)

Log into ulink

From the main page go to IT information and select “Email addresses”

The first heading Will show your active email accounts. If you have more than one, you can select one of the accounts to be your preferred account. All email addressed to you @louisville.edu will go to that account

You may choose one, if you have more than one preferred UofL provided email account .
Some times a person has more than one relationship with the University that entitles them to different

UofL email accounts. For example, if an employee also becomes a student or vice versa When you

have more than one UofL email account, you may choose which email account is the destination for all

of your routed email.

Note: If you have set Exchange as your preferred account, and someone is logged into CardMail and

addresses mail specifically to your CardMail address, that email will not be routed to your Exchange,

because a router is not used, the email system simply places that mail in your CardMail inbox.

However, if someone sends to your chosen or system nickname even from within CardMail,

the router is used and the mail will end up in your Exchange inbox.
