Curriculum Vitae

Current Positions:

Assistant Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine
Director, Medical Oncology Service, GI Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic

Clinical Focus and Research:

My clinical focus is on multi-disciplinary approaches to the treatment of Gastrointestinal (Colorectal, Anal, Pancreas, Biliary, Liver, Esophagus and Gastric Cancers).  I work with surgical and radiation oncologists to ensure that my patients receive the most effective combination of treatment modalities and have access to the most innovative drugs for the treatment of cancer. I also have interest in disorders of blood coagulation including hemophilia and von Willebrand disease.

My research interests include clinical trials of new chemotherapeutics and targeted agents including those developed by industry as well as those sponsored by National Cancer Institute. I primarily view research as a tool to translate the best new knowledge acquired in the laboratory into direct clinical benefit to patients at the bedside.
