New Vice Dean and Associate Dean

Dr. Ronald I. Paul and Dr. Gerard Rabalais have recently joined the Office of Faculty Affairs and Advancement.

Gerard Rabalais, M.D., became the Associate Dean of Faculty Development of the University of Louisville School of Medicine in October 2015. In his new capacity as Associate Dean of Faculty Development, he is charged with the creation and oversight of a new comprehensive program in faculty development that will help our faculty become better teachers.

Ronald I. Paul, M.D., became Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs and Advancement of the University School of Medicine in January, 2016.  Dr. Paul’s responsibilities in the Office of Faculty Affairs includes managing all faculty personnel  actions, conducting new faculty and chair orientation meetings,  serving as a resource to the School of Medicine’s Promotion and Tenure Committee and the Performance Criteria and Economic Welfare Committee, and advising faculty, the dean and the dean’s staff.
