Dr James Reed
We appreciate your interest in the Department of Radiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. After you have reviewed the information included in this web page we would welcome the opportunity to discuss the exciting opportunities for clinical service, education and research in our department with you.

Our Department provides radiology services for the University of Louisville Hospital and the Robley Rex VA Medical Center.  Both hospitals have the state of the art equipment and are committed to continuous updates. We have recently implemented a Cerner electronic medical record and are looking forward to migrating to McKesson PACS.

Our faculty has most recently expanded with the development of a new Emergency Radiology Section and over the past year we have added new faculty in Neuroradiology, Body Imaging, Interventional Radiology and Research.  Our expansions are the results of the fast paced growth in our medical center which includes a very busy level one trauma center, certified stroke center and the Brown Cancer Center.

Our research opportunities range from basic science animal imaging to clinical trials with collaborative research related to cancer, infectious disease, cardiac disease and contrast agent development.  These activities provide a wide range of opportunities for our faculty and residents.

We are always interested in hearing from well qualified individuals who seek residency training or faculty positions in a dynamic academic radiology department.

Sincerely,

James C. Reed, M.D.
