What I like about our program: The Psychiatry training here at U of L has not only met and but also exceeded my expectations. Not only do we get training to a public hospital (U of L), a private hospital (Norton), we also have a very unique Psychiatric ED where we serve as primary providers for the patients and work them up independent of other medical specialties. In addition, the general medical training here is very robust, and I feel prepared as a doctor first and foremost, and then a doctor in Psychiatry.

What I like about Louisville: An open-minded, modern and diverse city that has everything I would need in a package that is within reach as a resident. My commute time is 8 minutes in the morning, and nothing I need is outside of a 15 minute drive. Speaking as an out-of-towner, I highly encourage you to keep Louisville in your consideration.

Career Goal: I want to deliver the most efficient yet effective care to my patients, and take responsibility for their well-being. To not only diagnose and manage Psychiatric disorders, but be skillful at identifying and managing medical conditions with Psychiatric manifestations.
