Dr. Roberts serves as an attending in our outpatient service and acute psychiatric services in our emergency psychiatric service (EPS) at University of Louisville Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in mathematics at Erskine College and her M.Ed., in mathematics education at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Roberts obtained her medical degree and pediatrics and psychiatry residency training at the University of Louisville. She has recently received her Master’s degree in the Department of Public Health. Dr. Roberts received her board certification in pediatrics in 1995 and in psychiatry in 2007. In addition to her clinical service, she supervises and precepts residents and medical students during their EPS and outpatient psychiatry rotations. Dr. Robert’s lectures to first year residents on topics related to pathophysiology and medical concerns in an emergency psychiatry service setting. She is a member of the department’s Women’s Faculty Development Committee and the university’s Faculty Senate. She has collaborated on several completed research projects and publications on bipolar disorder.
