Alyssa Laun presents at International Cannabinoid Research Society Symposium

Alyssa Laun, a participant in the National Cancer Institute-funded Cancer Education Program at the University of Louisville, received a travel award from the International Cannabinoid Research Society to present her research at their 25th annual symposium held July 2015 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia Canada.  Alyssa was the youngest attendee selected to give an oral presentation of her research entitled "Cannabigerol modulates the efficacy of amandamide on the CB2 cannabinoid receptor".  Alyssa is pursuing her research under the direction of Professor Zhao-hui (Joe) Song in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology and has been accepted into the PhD program in Pharmacology and Toxicology effective August 2015.
