Learning Objectives: 1) Understand the leading causes of mortality in children globally 2) Understand the timing gaps between introduction of vaccines in low income as compared with high income countries and the reasons for those gaps 3) Review clinically-proven vaccines that have the potential to significantly reduce childhood morbidity and mortality in low-income countries and the steps needed to make them available globally 4) Understand the actions needed for timely introduction of novel vaccines in low-income countries in the future.
