The University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics is ALL about kids and we're all around the region. Our doctors make up the vast majority of the Kosair Children's Hospital medical staff. You'll also find our pediatricians and pediatric specialists in exam rooms, newborn nurseries, emergency rooms in major medical centers across the commonwealth and in southern Indiana. Our faculty are hard at work in University of Louisville research labs and in lecture halls where medical students learn to become physicians and young doctors learn to be pediatricians. In fact, many of Kentucky's practicing pediatricians learned their craft here at the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics.
The University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics is comprised of nearly 30 clinical and research sections and divisions. Our clinical staff are members of University of Louisville Physicians, the Louisville area's largest multispecialty physician practice. Of UofL Physician's 500 doctors, more than 175 are pediatricians and pediatric specialists. All of the UofL Department of Pediatrics' faculty are professors and researchers at the UofL School of Medicine.
