Development of a Respiratory Infectious Diseases Bio Repository and Clinical Database
for the Discovery of New Pathogens and Biomarkers

Description

This study is being conducted under the direction of Julio A. Ramirez, Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, at the University of Louisville. The purpose of the biorepository is to allow scientists to develop a repository (bank) of patient biological samples that may be useful for the discovery of new germs and new biological substances. It is hoped that the research data will better guide doctors in diagnosing respiratory diseases as well as help them better evaluate the progression and prognosis of respiratory diseases.
