Neuroendocrine Program

Neuroendocrine Program

The University of Louisville Neuroendocrine Program specializes in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of patients with disorders of the hypothalamus and pituitary.

Dr. Winters with TV crewThe program relates knowledge and expertise in basic and clinical research to the treatment of patients with neuroendocrine diseases.

We are part of a multidisciplinary team approach to patients with hypothalamic and pituitary disorders. Patients can be referred to initiate a treatment plan in conjunction with their primary physician, for a second opinion, or for comprehensive management by the center physicians.

We offer a detailed outpatient evaluation of all disorders affecting endocrine functions of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland which begins with a comprehensive medical history and physical examination, review of previous studies, and basal and dynamic hormone testing, together with radiographic studies and visual field evaluations.
