April 16, 2014 - Aruni Bhatnager, Ph.D. receives SIGS outstanding mentor award.This is not the first mentoring award Dr. Bhatnagar has been awarded--he was also named SIGS' 2009 Outstanding Faculty Mentor, and subsequently serves on the SIGS Mentor Advisory Board.

Feb 6, 2014 - UofL physicians at Jewish Hospital performed their 100th TransCatheter Aortic Valve replacement (TAVR).  UofL Division of Cardiovascular Medicine's Michael Flaherty, M.D., Ph.D., and the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery's Matthew Williams, M.D., and Kendra Grubb, M.D., were part of the TAVR team.
