Career Interests

During my first year of cardiology fellowship I developed an interest in pursuing a career in interventional cardiology. I am looking forward to starting my interventional fellowship at East Carolina University July 2021. After fellowship I plan to work in private practice in the Charlotte, NC, metro area.

Biography

Although I claim Minnesota as home I have lived many places in my adult life. Medicine has taken me on a geographic journey I never could have imagined. It's a good thing I enjoy traveling and trying new things. Travel may be limited these days but my travels have continued in the kitchen; cooking new recipes with my husband was a hobby and now a mainstay in our lives. To compliment all our cooking we stay active training for the ever delayed 2020 Derby mini-marathon and walking our new puppy.

In Her Words

Louisville will always be a special place to me as its is where I trained in internal medicine and cardiology, met and married my husband, and learned all about bourbon. Louisville as a city is the best kept secret of the south. The food culture was the most surprising to me when I first arrived. There are so many locally owned restaurants you could always be trying a new place to eat, but, I have trouble branching out of my favorites now.
