Curriculum

 

Schedule overview for 3 years of General Clinical Cardiology Training

The following rotations are included:

  • Research (clinical or basic) - 3-6 months
  • Cardiac Critical Care Unit -3 months
  • Consult service - 5 months
  • Stress testing, Holter, EKG interpretation - 2 months
  • Noninvasive (nuclear, echo) - 6 months
  • Cardiac catheterization - 5-8 months
  • Heart Failure/Transplantation - 2 months
  • Electrophysiology - 2 months
  • TEE - 4 months

During these 36 months the fellow will have a continuous ambulatory care rotation consisting of one-half day per week.

Night shifts and weekend 24-hour call clinical responsibility are predominantly scheduled in the first two (2) years of clinical training.
