Medical Outreach

Established in 1990, P.A.G.E.S. organizes annual mission trips to the Philippines for the purpose of free medical treatment for indigent children, and training for local anesthesiologists and surgeons. Founded by Dr. Benjamin Rigor, Professor Emeritus, at University of Louisville and colleagues, spend 2 weeks annually at the General Hospital in Manila. The health care team includes: 12 Surgeons, 2 Pediatricians, 20 Nurses, 9 Anesthesiologists, and 3 CRNAs. The doctors and nurses are from the U.S., Great Britain, Australia, and the Philippines. P.A.G.E.S. receives support from local and foreign foundations, philanthropists, and business owners in the form of money and time. The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Louisville has been a proud supporter of P.A.G.E.S. and continues to send faculty and residents on its annual missions.
