Have you ever encountered that one person with whom you just couldn't communicate? Had days when you felt like you were speaking a foreign language and no one else could understand what you were saying? Ever wonder why one team works together seamlessly when another barely communicates? Attend "What Hue Are You?" to learn more about how you communicate with your coworkers and how you approach your work. Even if you have attended a similar workshop, you can become a more efficient communicator and team member and see if your perspective has changed from previous personality tests!

Danielle Dickey (Director of Curriculum Support at Texas A&M College of Medicine) will present "What Hue Are You? Identifying Communication and Leadership Styles".

The AAMC has made pointed efforts to integrate diversity and inclusion in medical education; however, success in this area has been elusive. Diversity efforts require strategic focus in order to integrate the experiences of all members of the university community. This presentation will explore the value of diversity in the training of physicians for 21st century medicine and strategies to develop a framework for effective diversity initiatives.

David McIntosh (Assistant Dean for Diversity, Texas A&M College of Medicine) will present "The Diversity Imperative: The Enduring Importance of Cultural Competence in Medical Education".
