Calling all musicians!

The School of Medicine is forming “The Band-Aids,” a musical performance group to be comprised of faculty, students and staff. If you play an instrument, sing or would like to be in the band as a tambourine player or something similar, send an e-mail to SMART@Louisville.edu with “BAND” in the subject line. Include in the body of the email the instrument you play or talent you bring and your level of play. Levels of play include:

-Professional (consistently paid to perform in public, have toured)

-Garage band (plays or played in a band that rehearses and occasionally plays for free or for pay)

-Hobby (plays mostly at home solo or small group).

Deadline:  March 18

SMART Winter Ice Breaker

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, the School of Medicine Advancement, Retention and Training (SMART) Staff held a Winter Social in the CTR lobby.  All School of Medicine and UofL Physicians Staff were invited to enjoy an Italian Buffet, Winter Selfie Station, a networking activity, and the chance to kick up their heals with dance lessons by local instructor, Jenny Milby. The Winter Social was the final event of the year for the Community building, Appreciation, Recognition, Events and Spirit enhancement (CARES) committee of SMART.  To join this committee please contact committee chair, Dianna Stover at 852-8607.
