Ouseph tapped as compassionate physician

Rosemary Ouseph, M.D., M.S.P.H., professor in the Department of Medicine Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, received the Compassion Physician Award at the Doctor's Ball for her work in caring for patients who have received kidney transplants. Ouseph, who fellow physicians call an "indefatigable advocate" for patients who face the risk of organ rejection, also works with patients in UofL's hand transplant program. Awards are presented for excellence in eladership, innovation and service at the annual Doctor's Ball, presented by KentuckyOne Health.
