Jasper Neurology Update 2018 - March 3, 2018

The content of this activity will provide the latest update in 1) evaluation and management of child neurology clinical cases, 2) neuromuscular disorders, 3) neurological emergencies (such as stroke, epilepsy, headache, acute flaccid paralysis, and evaluation of coma), 4) movement disorders and 5) neuro-oncology. The initial workup, current guidelines and latest available treatment options, both medical and surgical for the patient with these neurological disorders will be discussed.

Target Audience
This second annual Neurology Update CME activity at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN is designed to meet the needs of primary care physicians (both adult and pediatric), emergency medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and allied health professionals who provide primary care to individuals with neurological disorders.

Learning Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

1) Employ evidence based medicine in the evaluation and management of common childhood neurological conditions.
2) Evaluate and manage common neuromuscular disorders.
3) Demonstrate the latest evidence base practice with respect to the evaluation and management of common neurological emergencies.
4) Identify the proper evaluation and management of movement disorders, including Parkinson disease.
5) Describe initial evaluation and management of common neuro-oncological disorders.
