16th Annual Child Neurology Update: What You Must Know About Child Neurology - August 3, 2018

This year’s focus will be on need to know topics in Child Neurology, providing health care providers throughout the region pearls key to delivering healthcare for children with neurologic diseases. Topics will include movement disorders in children, pearls and trends in neuromuscular disease, common questions in epilepsy, understanding genetic testing, interdisciplinary care in cerebral palsy, use of CBD oil, and key points to headache and concussion, as well as, case studies in child neurology.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

1) Properly diagnose and treat pediatric movement disorders.
2) Use emerging treatments in pediatric neuromuscular diseases.
3) Answer key questions of parents of children with epilepsy.
4) Utilize genetic testing in the treatment of pediatric neurologic diseases.
5) Properly approach the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral palsy.
6) Use and answer questions involving CBD oil in epilepsy and other neurologic conditions.
7) Diagnose and treat pediatric concussion and headache.
