Scientific Meeting of the Kentucky Chapter of the American College of Physicians Update in Internal Medicine 2019 - September 20, 2019

This course is designed to deliver an up to date series of lectures with focus on palliative care and the use of point of care ultrasonography (POCUS). Advanced liver disease incidence is rising. The care of these, often terminal, patients is quite complex. Polypharmacy is currently a major problem facing the practicing internist. The idea of deprescribing as an active process is novel will be discussed.
