7th Annual International Society for Musculoskeletal Imaging in Rheumatology Educational Conference and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course - April 11-13, 2014
The role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound (US) has expanded significantly over the last several years for the management of musculoskeletal diseases; yet, these techniques are still under-utilized in clinical practice despite the data supporting the benefits of their use from both a diagnostic and therapeutic management standpoint. Clinicians should embrace these imaging techniques to assess many of the disorders encountered in evaluating patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Numerous studies have demonstrated that MRI and Ultrasound can aid physicians in the diagnosis of various rheumatic conditions and can help guide treatment decisions that will ultimately optimize patient outcomes.
