G.E.M.S. (Guaranteed Entrance to Medical School)

Guaranteed admission program for Kentucky high school seniors.

 

The G.E.M.S. program is open to Kentucky high school seniors. Those who have a minimum of a 3.75 GPA, and who score at least 31 on the ACT or 1360 on the SAT receive preference in the G.E.M.S. admissions process. The application deadline is Jan. 15th. The G.E.M.S. program does not carry a monetary award, but G.E.M.S. applicants are eligible to pursue other scholarship opportunities.

After completing the G.E.M.S. program at the University of Louisville, you will be admitted automatically to the University of Louisville School of Medicine if you've maintained a 3.4 cumulative and science grade point average in undergraduate work, scored at or above the national mean on each section of the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), participated fully in program activities, and displayed proper ethical qualities and conduct.
