About
Claire Harmon, of Benton, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2023 at the University of Louisville. She studies library science with a concentration in political science.

High School
Claire is a 2019 graduate of Marshall County High School where she was president of the Student Y Chapter, Young Democrats and the TRASH Club. She also participated on the speech team and attended the Governor Scholar's Program. She served as Editor-In-Chief at Kentucky Youth Assembly.
Being a McConnell Scholar has been a goal of mine for several years. As soon as I heard about this program and its many aspects, I knew it was right for me. I am so grateful for the opportunities and camaraderie this program will provide over the next four years.
