Moot court teams earn national bids after strong regional finish

Two University of Louisville undergraduate moot court teams, both sponsored by the McConnell Center, earned bids to the American Collegiate Moot Court National Tournament after top 8 finishes in regional competition last weekend.

McConnell Scholar partners Evan Shepherd and Sarah Stovall, both seniors, were 5th after the first day of competition in Orlando, Fla., while partners Arsh Haque and Danielle Robinette, both juniors, were 14th. Stovall was ranked 18th orator out of a field of more than 100 competitors.

The teams are coached by McConnell Scholar alumnus Neil Salyer (’01) and will compete Jan. 17-18 at Arizona State University.
