Andrew Stewart (’15), a McConnell Scholar and University of Louisville cross country runner, finished the season with American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship honors.

The Cards competed in the AAC post-season competition earlier this month in Madison, Conn, and earned their second conference team title in program history.

Stewart, a native of Radcliff, Ky., placed 20 out of 67 runners, completing the 8K race in just over 24 minutes. His teammates, Tyler Byrne and Ernest Kibet, placed first and second overall in the conference, respectively.

Stewart finished 125th (123rd in scoring) in the NCAA Southeast Regional Competition last week in Charlottesville, Va. The Cards finished seventh overall at the regional competition.

Congratulations to Stewart and the rest of the Cards team for their great cross country season.
