Fielder to intern in D.C. with national YMCA
Nicole Fielder (’19), of Nicholasville, has been selected as an intern for the YMCA’s Governmental Relations and Policy Office. She will spend two months this summer in Washington, D.C., working with both state and federal affairs teams on legislative initiatives.
“The ‘Y’ has been helping me find my ‘why’ for several years now, and I’m excited to see how I continue growing with this organization,” Fielder said.
Her internship work will focus on developing and implementing policies related to charitable contributions and youth development.
A junior at the University of Louisville, Fielder is majoring in political science and economics. She is the director of institutional research for the Student Government Association, as well as the director of operations for UofL’s branch of the Campus YMCA.
