Hannah Wilson, of Bradfordsville, Ky., has been selected as a student speaker for the University of Louisville’s Accolade, an exclusive preview event for top high school students to learn about merit-based scholarships, UofL’s Honors Program and academic units.

Kentucky’s only 2016 Truman Scholar, Wilson is majoring in political science, philosophy and women’s and gender studies.

Wilson, along with the McConnell Program’s Outreach team, will represent the McConnell Scholars Program at the event. Scholars will discuss the four-year tuition scholarship, which includes mentored programming and leadership development, opportunities to engage state, national and world leaders and study abroad opportunities to China and other locations. 

The McConnell Scholarship application, due Dec.15, must include a resume, a 500-word essay and two letters of recommendation. Additional information regarding the McConnell Scholars Program and the application process can be found online
